However, the low humidity level mitigates the effect of high temperatures. Evening breezes blowing down the mountains provide a welcome refreshing and cooling effect. Springs are short, while falls are long. Autumns are known for their vibrant and colorful foliage.
Winters are quite cold with plenty of snow, with temperatures ranging between −10 °C (14 °F) and −5 °C (23 °F).
Winter sports enthusiasts enjoy skiing down the hills of Tsakhkadzor, located thirty minutes outside Yerevan.
Lake Sevan nestled up in the Armenian highlands, is the second largest lake in the world relative to its
altitude, 1,900 metres (6,234 ft) above sea level.
The predominant
religion in Armenia is Christianity.
Armenia was the first nation to adopt Christianity
as a state religion, an event traditionally dated to AD 301.And in 2001 Armenia celebrated the 1700
anniversary of Christianity. The official name of the Armenian Church is Armenian Apostolic Church.
The roots of the Armenian Church go back to the first century.
The official language in Armenia is Armenian, which is one of the oldest languages
in the world.
The Armenian alphabet was invented in AD 405 by Saint Mesrob Mashtots and consists of thirty-eight letters.

taxi by a call or just from the street, the rates are not expensive , from one side
of Yerevan to the other will cost proximately 2500AMD.
“Zvartnots” Armenian International Airport is 15 min far from City Centre, & it’s easy to get their
by taxi which will cost proximately 2000 AMD , or by public transport which will be much cheaper.
If You don’t have Armenian passport, then you need to get an
entree visa.
You can get it from the embassy
of Armenia in your country, or upon you arrival in “Zvartnots” Airports or Meghry land border with
Iran. The 21 days entree visa costs 3000 AMD, the transit visa is 10 000 AMD, the 120 days visa
is 15 000 AMD, under the age of 18 is free of charge.

During your arrival in Armenia if you bring with you more then 15 000 ERU (or equivalent currency),
you should write an declaration form. And during your departure the maximum amount you can take
with you should be more then 5 million AMD (or equivalent foreign currency).
